How to Join Us

Although we have formed a start-up team at this stage, as ACHN starts to take shape, we would like to involve more scholars in the field to join ACHN and promote Asian construction history with us.

Considering the population diversity, ethnicity and religious divergence, cultural interactions, and multicultural influences in Asia, we wish to include representatives from different geographical regions and building cultures of Asia. “Asian Construction History Network” makes “Asian” as an adjective to describe the “Construction History” relating to Asia or its people, culture, tradition. Not only promotes it the research on “construction history in Asia”, but also allows overseas Asians/Asian immigrants in Australia, Europe, and North America as well as all parties interested in studying the history of construction in Asia to promote and facilitate the study of the Asian-influenced construction history abroad. Therefore, we also welcome scholars interested in this field of study, who are based outside of Asia.

If you are interested in joining ACHN, there are a couple of ways to reach us. You can write an email to our membership contact, Mahdi Motamedmanesh (mahdi.motamedmanesh@gmail.com), who is currently in charge of updating our Directory (see below). Alternatively, you can reach out to one of our Founding Members located in or near your region. Either way, we're excited to hear from you and get you involved in our Network.

As a member, if you are interested in contributing to one (or more) of our Projects, please contact our different Project Leaders. You are also welcome to propose other projects, as long as they are important items you think ACHN should do in the near future. We hope to establish several working groups with at least one project manager and clear executive plans to carry out these projects in due course. No doubt, this is very important for ACHN to move forward!
