Transdisciplinary Development

“Transdisciplinary development” is one of our ACHN projects. We observe increasing tension, potential and collaborative possibilities for developing novel research and education related to construction history. We intend to promote transdisciplinary dialogues and exchanges to create new opportunities, enlarge research capacity, and achieve long-term goals across academia and industry. We aim to fertilize new ways of defining problems and raise questions through enhancing dialogues and collaborations between disciplines. For instance, there is high potential for collaborating with the following disciplines:

  • Engineering, Natural, and Medical sciences01
  • History of Science, Technology and Medicine, Engineering History, Business History, and Environmental History02
  • Heritage Science and Built Heritage03
  • Building Archaeology and Industrial Archaeology04
  • Digital Humanities05
  • Anthropology and Sociology06
  • Interdisciplinary Studies07
