The theme of the Second ACHN Meeting was “Executive Meeting – Leadership Roles and the Annual Action Plan”. It was aimed to help us first to set, and then later, to materialize our goals.
The Meeting began by a brief review of the foundation and progress of ACHN, followed by a presentation of the State of the art: the theme and the content of the second founding members meeting. After that, we heard from the pioneers’ advice from James Campbell and Tom Peters – our ACHN advisors sharing their guidelines, visions, and perspectives.
After the opening speeches, four ACHN Project proposals were presented by the project leaders, followed by further discussion. These projects include:
Project 1: ACHN Website Leadership Role: Yiting and Mahdi
Proposal: A ppt presentation of the website draft, outlining the key sections was presented. This preliminary design provided space for further discussions which resulted in finalising the design. Templates were given to the founding members to include their suggestions and opinions about the content.
Project 2: Online Seminar Series Held by ACHN in 2023

Future projects: A Brief Touch
1) A joint effort to compile a bibliography on the history of construction in Asia
2) The issue of membership management
In summary, leadership, in our view, is the cornerstone of our Network. We believed that by working together, we have the opportunity to not only maximize our individual efforts, but also to combine them in a way that creates a far-reaching impact.
